Let’s say you have tried these techniques and
you still are not having good sleep. You can try
using a supplement that can help you get to
sleep quicker and get much deeper sleep.
Oftentimes, many popular supplement
companies will carry products with a blend of
ingredients that are proven to be effective.
Many of these blends can include things like
melatonin, L-Theanine, 5-HTP, GABA, and
magnesium. I do not recommend using these
supplements permanently as a lot of times,
your body can become dependent on them.
When you come off of them, they can throw
off your natural sleep cycle. I suggest using
them occasionally when you are not feeling
tired or when you know that you have to be
asleep early because you need to rise early. If
you are going through a lot of stress in your
daily life and/or getting ready for a show, I
suggest only using them for 8-12 weeks if you
decide to take them regularly. Then, take a
break to allow your body to reset.
Our body was naturally made to effectively get
restful sleep. We want to do as much as we
can in order to aid our body do this without
supplementation. If you are going through a
period in your life where you feel you might
benefit from it, it can really help your results
and quality of life using a supplement.
Remember, rest is equally important for
results as training and nutrition are!
