HEAD JUDGE CORNER The second biggest change in posing is in men’s physique. In the men’s physique category, there are no longer quarter turns. The only compulsory poses in men’s physique are the front and back pose. When presenting your front pose, you are not required to stand hips squared off to the judges. You are also not required to put a hand on hip. This is at the discretion of the athlete. You want to present your physique in the best light. There are times when the head judge will ask the athletes to square off their hips to the judges. This allows the judges to compare the physiques when the athletes are close in comparison. Once again, you are not required to put a hand on hip and the compulsories only consist of a front and back pose Issue 27 | 234 CANADIAN PHYSIQUE ALLIANCE
