One of the most powerful
influences on how well your
contest preparation goes is
how much stress you are
experiencing. Some stress is
necessary for you to progress
while too much stress can
break you and ultimately make
progress impossible.
You see, your body doesn’t
know where the stress comes
from. All it is concerned about
is trying to adapt and super
compensate to overcome the
current level of stress. It’s a
primal survival mechanism
that we exploit to manipulate
our bodies to do what we want
– build muscle and lose body
fat.
