SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY We all see them backstage or in the venue lobby. The competitors who didn’t win, storm off stage, throw a temper tantrum as they pack up their things backstage, and gather a pity party outside the theatre. You hear them blaming the politics, the judges, their coach, their spouse, and the guy who sold them the wrong protein powder a week out from the show. But the one person, the only person, they should blame is themselves. Successful people, on the other hand, take responsibility for when they make a mistake or make a big time score. Again, it comes down to control. When you take ownership in your shortcomings, you will then take action to make the changes necessary to fix the problem. With that, when things go right and you succeed, by means share in the celebration, but you know it was you who make that possible. Either way, you are the start and the finish. You are the problem and the solution.
