ATTEND AT LEAST ONE
SHOW BEFORE YOU
COMPETE
Being a spectator at a show
before your stage time allows
you to understand the show
structure and organization for
the day, as well as how stage
organization is followed! You
can spend hours and hours in
front of a mirror posing, but if
you don’t know the direction
you’re walking out of on stage or
how to line up on the side of the
stage while you wait for your
comparison rounds, then you
will likely see your posing suffer
and wear a face of confusion!
You want your stage time to
feel second nature to you;
showing confusion looks a lot
like lack of preparation!
HAVE A LIFE WHILE YOU
PREPARE FOR
COMPETITION!
Yes your energy levels may be
dwindling as you get closer to a
show, but leading up to that
point you shouldn’t feel like a
prisoner to your goals! I still
made sure to go out with friends
and not miss work or family
events just because my diet
was different! Prepare meals
ahead of time and bring along
with you so you are not stuck in
a situation where you miss
meals or indulge in foods that
will not align with your current
physique goals. Rearrange
training times on occasion if it
means that you get to create
and share memories with loved
ones!
