#AROUNDTHEOPA HOW ARE ATHLETES SCORED? HEAD JUDGE IFBB JUDGE RUDY JAMBROSIC Every CPA show consists of a judging panel. In Canada we have some very strong judges. We have judges that judge regionally, nationally, and in the IFBB Pro division. The judging panel consists of 5-7 judges and a head judge. HEAD JUDGE CORNER E R O SC The responsibility of the Head Judge is to call out groups of athletes that are of similar caliber. This allows the judges to compare one athlete against another. The Head Judge will call out as few as 2 and as many as 7-8 athletes at one time. This depends on the caliber of athletes in the class. You will notice throughout the show the Head Judge will confer with the judge on his/her left and right. This is to ensure that an athlete has not been overlooked. When the athletes are called out the Head Judge will then adjust the athletes so that the judges are able to compare the athletes.
