Radical Body Transformations ( RBT ) was founded by Canadian filmmaker , producer and bodybuilding competitor James Hergott in 2014 . on the NPC News Online website .
Amazon Prime took an interest in the show with both Seasons 1 and 2 being showcased .
Hergott has a history of producing MMA , fitness and bodybuilding films and TV shows including the HDNET TV show MMA Worldwide , the UFC Champion George St . Pierre documentary , entitled , The Striking Truth , A Fight For The Troops , set in Iraq , The Vice Media Swole Episode on Canadian bodybuilder Greg Doucette and he served as the business director and creative consultant for the original Generation Iron . Hergott had also competed in his own right in the Canadian Physique Alliance ( CPA ) circuit , including competing in the IFBB World Qualifiers and being featured on the Cobourg Naturals poster in his hometown of Cobourg .

After seeing the show on Amazon Prime US , Anthony Lolli and his business partner Carlos Angelucci reached out to Mr . Hergott . Anthony and Carlos are New York real estate moguls who had created the number one franchised real estate firm in NY a fortune 500 success story and
were looking for their next investment . More importantly , the show ’ s premise resonated with Anthony , who was in the middle of his own radical transformation , losing 135 pounds in 9 months . Hergott , Lolli and Angelucci formed a partnership , as the real estate duo invested their capital , marketing experience and business knowledge into taking RBT to new heights .
