to get back on my feet and keep fighting. Finally, on January
10 th , I had clearance to begin working out again. The doctors
are following my growth and monitoring any changes with

Through extensive research into my mothers' medical
records, an explanation presented itself. My mother had
been diagnosed with Factor IV Leiden. This is a blood
disorder that happens to be hereditary. To avoid future clots
I will have to include blood thinners for two days, before and
after any medical procedure.
I want to thank my coach Emilio Ruiz for encouraging check-
ups during prep season. This protocol ensures everything is
your health is on track. Even when you feel at your best there
is always an underlying battle happening. We are lucky and
grateful for the positive outcome from an otherwise scary
few months.

I am looking forward to 2020. This will be my year to become
a more accomplished athlete. I have returned to light
workouts during my recovery and have begun to grow and
improve my strategies. My health will always be a priority
and the events of 2019 will not hold me back. I will use this
as motivation to become a smarter and better athlete in the
years to come.
My pro card awaits for me to return!
