PRESIDENT’ S REPORT
RON HACHE
Dear Members:
So far, it’ s been a super exciting year. The Toronto Pro SuperShow brought it together for an unbelievable celebration and captured the essence of our sport, uniting athletes and fans from Canada and every corner of the globe. The energy was electric, with inspiring performances and a deep sense of community.
In a heartfelt tribute, we celebrated the Lifetime Achievement Award, honoring the late Ben Weider, a Canadian and founder of the IFBB. This year, we welcomed a new member to this esteemed circle, breaking tradition by presenting the award to Jim Manion, President of the NPC and IFBB Pro League. While historically reserved for Canadians, this landmark decision reflects the universal impact of those who contribute to our sport, transcending borders and uniting us all. Jim Manion’ s unwavering loyalty to Ben Weider shaped the very foundation of bodybuilding. Taking the torch from Ben and Joe Weider, Jim transformed the sport, introducing innovative competitions and elevating athletes’ profiles. His passion and dedication inspired a generation, ensuring that the legacy of the Weider brothers thrived. Under Jim’ s guidance, bodybuilding reached unprecedented heights, captivating fans and forging a vibrant community.
The Canadian Physique Alliance was able to secure, thanks to a great promoter and ambassador, John Aiello, Ben Weider ' s portrait and iconic Joe Weider’ s statue came directly from Ben Weider ' s office at an auction. These historical awards were presented to President Jim Manion and will now be showcased in his office. They stand as proud symbols of our rich history and dedication to the sport.
We were thrilled to welcome Jim Manion and his family to the Toronto Pro SuperShow, showing their unwavering support. A sincere thank you to Tyler and Debbie Manion for their years of dedication. The front cover photo captures not just Jim, Debbie and Tyler, but also the vital contributors to the Toronto Pro SuperShow and the sport: Angie Hache, Tony Blinn, and Andrew Melling. Their commitment fuels our success!
Thank you to all those who attended the event this year. Your presence made this event truly unforgettable. Together, we created memories that will resonate for years to come. Thank you for being a part of this historic moment and for your enthusiasm and support. Let us carry this spirit forward, celebrating our achievements and the bonds we ' ve formed.
Exciting times ahead! As we hit the midpoint of the year, the contest calendar is buzzing. New contests have been added to the calendar with the Natural Canada Pro / Am just around the corner on August 2 & 3, a new Natural Pro show this fall- the Xtreme Natural Muscle Pro / Am on October 25. Also let’ s not forget the 10th anniversary of the Vancouver Pro Am, a can’ t miss event in a beautiful new venue this July 27th and 28th. I am looking forward to seeing and meeting you at some of these iconic events.
