ATHLETE STORY

ABDOLLAH FADL

In my late 20s, I felt trapped in a body that was failing me— 355 lbs at 5 ' 8 ". Walking up stairs left me gasping for air, and pain gripped my lower back, knees, and chest. Many nights, I collapsed, bedridden for three agonizing days, struggling with thoughts of suicide and wishing for an end to the pain. A lifetime of obesity had buried me under insecurities and hopelessness.
But in 2019, at 29 years old, I stood before the mirror, broken but determined. I said, " Enough is enough." I started with mini habits— small, consistent changes that replaced unhealthy patterns with healthy ones. It was a slow and painful climb, but step by step, I built momentum.
By 2022, I stepped on stage at 225 lbs, a moment that marked the rebirth of a new version of me. In 2023, I took on the challenge of bodybuilding, but I realized I needed loose skin removal surgery. I took 2024 to rebuild and refine, committed to pushing past every limitation.
Today, in 2025, I stand at 175 lbs— a bodybuilder, a fighter, and a survivor. My journey was never just about losing weight; it was about reclaiming my life, self-worth, and happiness.
I’ m here to tell you: No matter how long it takes, transformation is possible. This journey wasn’ t just about becoming fit; it was about becoming unstoppable.
Please don’ t give up; we are here to support each other and become healthy individuals.
I did it, and so can you. @ abdollahfadl89
