Weight belts are also a great tool to keep you from
over-developing your abdominals. Weight training
places a high amount of force on your body and
wearing a weight belt helps to keep your abs from
excessive hypertrophy. All while protecting your
lower back while doing all those booty building
exercises. I personally really like the support they
provide and definitely feel a big improvement in my
posterior chain after having my son in 2017 (as any
of you ladies out there who have had children know,
pregnancy can be very hard on the back, glutes, and
hamstring
CONDITIONING
The look of your midsection absolutely depends on
your level of conditioning. If you’ve done the proper
training and preparation to get on stage, your
midsection will be tight and there is no requirement
to “suck in” as you've already done the hard work.
Now, that doesn't mean there won't be a lot of
twisting and practicing of angles to achieve your best
poses, but knowing your midsection is on point will
be one less thing that you have to worry about.
