This year ’ s recipient was Myriam ( Mimi ) Capes whose dedication to the fitness community resulted in the only Canadian to have ever ranked among the top 5 more than 5 times in a row at the Olympia and with over 20 world titles undoubtedly made her an internationally renowned fitness athlete and icon . Although Myriam has retired from competing , she continues to devote her life ’ s passion to the bodybuilding and fitness community and the Canadian Physique Alliance organizing the Mimi Capes Classic Championships in Montreal , Quebec .

We are now entering the summer competition season and finished the spring season with one of our strongest Toronto Pro SuperShow events ever . The support from the IFBB Pros was overwhelming with a total of over 150 pro athletes participating at the event representing 25 countries from around the world . The tremendous support from the 235 amateur athletes from Canada and other countries who competed at the Toronto Pro Qualifier made the event an incredible success . Congratulations to 18 competitors who won their IFBB Pro Card at the Toronto Pro Qualifier . The positive vibe at the Toronto Pro SuperShow was electric and it truly felt like we were back since the pandemic .

Another highlight of the event was Taylor Learmont , runner-up fitness competitor at the 2023 Olympia , who in honor of Myriam Capes receiving the lifetime achievement award , gave us a taste of her routine preparing herself to compete at the 2024 Olympia . Also , we were pleased to have the World ' s Strongest Man Mitchell Hooper who supported our event and graced our stage in helping with the award presentations of the IFBB Pro League Wheelchair competition .
We have an exciting summer and fall lined up with our many regional events across Canada , Vancouver Pro / Am in July , the Natural Canada in August and the Canadian National Pro Qualifier in October . I am looking forward to meeting and seeing many of you there .
