CANADIAN PHYSIQUE ALLIANCE JAN/FEB 2020 ISSUE | Page 20

Each and every one of us has someone or something that inspires us. Every show, every workshop or seminar will have the opportunity to send stories for publication in the Newsletter or online at our Canadian Physique Alliance pages. We have a wealth of stories to share from all age groups and fitness levels. What inspires you? Is it the competitor who has battled a terminal disease whose story you may have seen in a video on Instagram? Is it the promoter who runs several successful businesses, competes and still manages a family? Maybe it is the entire family who recently competed at one of our events in the Maritimes? Whomever or whatever inspires you will be published here. These stories may intrigue you, motivate you or simply tug at your heartstrings, but you can read about them on one of our platforms. Let’s start with a pretty incredible individual and one of the most discussed stories of 2019. Chris Bumstead won the Olympia Classic Physique title in 2019. After a tough year in 2018, placing second, Chris came back hard to take the title. He showed grit and determination that has been indicative of his career. The effort required by him as well as all other Olympians should inspire you. The fact that he is Canadian should and has been an inspiration to all aspiring Canadian competitors. With more than ten thousand subscribers watching, listening or reading I am confident there will be a story that affects you.
