Recently I was talking to a
competitive athlete who has
chosen to take the year off from
the stage. She told me that she
thinks she is so out of shape now
and feels like she is (and I hate
this word ) .... fat, now that she is
not competition ready.
I hear this all the time. And it got
me thinking, about how we are

So often we find ourselves in front
of the mirror throwing negative
jabs at ourselves like a boxer
trying to win the world title. We
tell ourselves we are ugly, fat,
have stretch marks, our hair is
grey, our pants don't fit, the
wrinkles are getting deeper. You
name it, we say it.
