CANADIAN PHYSIQUE ALLIANCE FALL ISSUE SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER | Page 96
When it
happend....
I was devastated in early March 2017
to find out that I had Stage 3-4
Cancer. At that point I thought my
life was over. All I could see were all
my friends and associates that have
passed away due to some form of
cancer. I knew that I was going to
fight the biggest battle of my life.
At this point I didn’t realize that my
entire life and history was preparing
me for this moment. At first, I went to
a very dark place where I had to
prepare for my possible death and I
had to surrender to the hopelessness
of the situation. I went through the
poor me, why me and what have I
done to deserve this? Then I went
through Denial, Denial, Denial. The
doctors must be lying to me, this
must be a mistake. I do feel great.
That was until the final results of the
biopsy and tests, when the doctors
said: “Mr. McLeod you have stage 3 – 4
cancer with an aggressiveness of 9
out of 10 Gleeson Score: Very
Aggressive cancer, every core of the
biopsy 13 out of 13 was cancerous,
and your PSA is a never seen before
295-- its off the charts”. Also to make
matters worse they advised they
couldn’t do surgery but could send
me to clinical trials.
