Rollin' to the top!
WRITTEN BY : JENELLE JENSEN
Who is Tanelle?
Tanelle Bolt, 32, is an accomplished Canadian
athlete, passionate about fitness, travel, and
networking. Well-versed in several sports, Bolt
has not only used fitness to subside her anxiety,
but it has helped rebuild her confidence after a
tragic accident that left her paralyzed from her
chest down.
Can't stop ....
In 2014, Bolt lost sensation and movement
after jumping off a 60-foot bridge into a river
with friends at a popular tourist spot in British
Columbia. The next day she found herself in a
hospital bed. The impact had broken her
back, leaving her paralyzed from her T6
vertebrae down, and the prognosis was
confinement to a wheelchair for life. This news
would not stop her from pursuing her dreams.
The will to succeed!
Bolt continued her fast paced, fitness lifestyle
as a paraplegic. After taking two and a half
years off from the gym, she received a call
from Tamen Ewasiuk, IFBB Pro and co-
founder of TNT Muscle Productions Inc. asking
if she would compete in their upcoming
bodybuilding show. Bolt took this as a sign to
get back into the gym and begin training.
“I had been asking the universe for the boost
to kick me into hyper drive to get back to the
lifestyle that I enjoy most. I was thrilled to
have a coach to hold me accountable and be
there to support me.”
