CANADIAN PHYSIQUE ALLIANCE DECEMBER ISSUE | Page 58

But one thing was clear in my DNA, the more I want something, the more nothing will stop me.  I wanted to be a Pro. More competitions came, with success and failures.  The highs of winning the Provincials and first in class in Canada accompanied lows of finishing second or third multiple times.  The Pro card was in sight yet it seemed a hundred miles away.
I had to think outside the box and take some risks.  After finishing second at the overall in Toronto Pro qualifier in October, rather than reset and retrain, we decided to go straight for the next show, Olympia Amateur in Italy.  It didn't make sense to go that far, so short a time, no planning, no rest time. But we just knew that this was my calling, and in the end what seemed unrealistic became my great achievement, winning not only a Pro Card but the figure overall title. What did I learn from this journey?  Discipline and perseverance are rewarding. Whatever you want to be is yours, only if you're willing to work for it with absolute commitment. So Focus on what you can control, anything else will drive you nuts. Last, honour and believe in those who truly support you.  Together, any challenge can be overcome.      I want to use this opportunity to once again thank everyone who supported me since the beginning, specifically my coach and also Wesley Mohammed for their endless knowledge, support and encouragement. My pro career has now started, and I'm excited to start a new journey.  YOUTH MAGAZINE
