CANADIAN PHYSIQUE ALLIANCE CPA NOVEMBER ISSUE | Page 2
NOVEMBER 2018
PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Dear Members:
We are in the final month of the 2018 competition season. Throughout the year,
I had the opportunity to attend and head judge many competitions across
Canada. This year, I spoke about the Canadian Physique Alliance’s goal of
achieving consistency across Canada in all aspects of the sport: from judging,
qualifications, event promotions, event venues, promoter contribution, the
format for prejudging and finals, and opportunities for IFBB Pro cards in the
Natural and Open Pro Qualifiers. I truly believe we are achieving all of those
goals.
One area where I noticed some
inconsistencies across Canada is tanning.
The final step before walking on stage is
tanning, hair, and makeup. How important
is this final step? It could make the
difference between winning or not
making the top three in your class! I don’t
know how many times I’ve seen this
happen; where a competitor has worked
so hard to get competition ready and lose
because the final step was not done
properly.
