PRESIDENT’ S MESSAGE

Dear Members,
As we are all looking forward to the warmer weather and spring unfolding, our attention turns to spending more time enjoying the outdoors and shedding away the winter blues. We love being Canadian and with that in mind, the CPA bodybuilding and fitness season started on March 29 in British Columbia with the Leigh Brandt Muscle Classic.
These are exciting times for our IFBB Pro League Pro competitors, where prize money of $ 500,000 at The Arnolds, $ 600,000 at The Olympia and $ 410,000 at The Pittsburgh Pro is awarded to the best bodybuilders in the world. I know that this seems like an eternity away for our first-time regional competitors, but everybody who stepped on The Olympia stage began as a true novice or novice. Making dreams a reality is the journey we should all strive for, which keeps us motivated and living life to the fullest.
The opportunities are endless within the CPA / NPC and the IFBB Pro League community, it ' s just a matter of stepping to the plate and making it happen. Stay motivated, push your limits, and remember: every great success begins with the courage to start.
The spirit of competition in both the open and natural regional events is back to pre-COVID times and it’ s a breath of fresh air to see and feel the positive atmosphere within the CPA community. While other organizations are falling to the wayside, our federation is expanding and growing every year in Canada and around the world, thanks to our official ambassadors and CPA representatives promoting, educating and sharing the good news at our seminars and posing clinics across Canada.
Promoters across Canada are finding ways to reward our competitors with awards, trips to compete at the Amateur Olympia and goodie bags from top sponsors, adding an extra layer of excitement, making each event not just a competition, but a celebration of dedication and achievement. This fosters a vibrant community and inspires athletes to reach new heights.
Our Canadian-born co-founder of the IFBB, Ben Weider would be extremely proud of the direction the natural movement is heading, with 50 percent of our CPA membership participating in our natural competitions. The introduction of the Women’ s Fit Model division targeting mainstream athletes will strengthen our community of female competitors.
The stage is set as we welcome qualified amateur competitors from around the globe to Canada to compete at the Natural Canada, the Toronto Pro
