CANADIAN PHYSIQUE ALLIANCE APRIL || ISSUE 33 | Page 8

You’re probably wondering why I shared such a personal experience with you, rather than my usual CPA news. This really hit home for me, as I’d just witnessed one of my closest friends become seriously ill, in an instant.   His lifelong commitment to our sport and his involvement as one of our dedicated judges and statisticians has given him purpose as he continues to contribute any way he can to the new Canadian Physique Alliance. I left the hospital that night feeling so grateful for all the sport has given back to me especially friends like Mike and many others who I have met during my journey in the fitness industry. I know many of you have felt the joy of winning and the disappointment of losing at a contest.  Just remember to stay grounded and enjoy the ride regardless of the outcome on the stage.  You’re all winners for participating and inspiring others to do the same, just like Mike has done for me and I’m sure many others. On a side note - I visited Mike in the hospital just recently.  He is improving and is able to move his right hand and leg.  He also plans to be home at the beginning of April and continue his therapy.   e h c a H   n o R President Canadian Physique Alliance
