PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
The Strategy of Competing for Novice Competitors
I’ve been to our first events of the year and was very impressed with the
number of first-time competitors in both novice and open divisions. With that
being said many novices who are first time competitors place in the top 3 in
the open division thereby qualifying them for a Pro Qualifier. It is important
for novice competitors to be aware that experience at regional contests is
needed to do well at Pro Qualifiers. Many of you will be in a line up with up to
20 or more other experienced competitors at any of the Pro Qualifiers.
Strategy, patience and experience are important factors in pursuing your IFBB
Pro Card and a possible career in the fitness industry.
The tier system has been set up in favor of
competitors, in other words you will not be
penalized when competing in another
regional contest, natural or open, if you are
already qualified to a Pro Qualifier.
Think about it! You just competed in your
first contest in March of this year. You
placed in the top three in a class of 4
competitors, now you are qualified to
compete in a Pro Qualifier up to December
31st of 2020, your thinking perfect,
