Music PEI With the support of Innovation PEI , Music PEI has created the $ 75,000 Digital Performance Creation Fund ( DPCF ). The goal of this fund is to create digital live performance content to be used for Showcase and Online Performance opportunities . The DPCF will provide up to $ 1,500 to eligible artists , and funds will be available until they are depleted , meaning there is no fixed deadline .
The DPCF will fund 100 % of expenses up to a maximum of $ 1,500 , which are limited to costs to create a live performance video . Music PEI is committed to promoting all forms of diversity and encourages applications from artists of all backgrounds and genres who meet the eligibility criteria . Applications will be assessed by a committee , which will look at the proposal , the opportunity presented , and applicant ’ s ability to execute .
The DPCF is open to PEI residents only . To be considered a resident for the purposes of the program , applicants must meet all of the following criteria : The primary artist and / or the majority of the group must have a permanent address in PEI ; the applicant must have been a resident of PEI for at least the previous six months ; and the applicant must have a contract or an offer to perform at an online festival , event , or showcase .
Music NB The next deadline for Music NB ’ s Emerging Artist grant component is Nov . 17 , 2021 at 6 p . m . AST . The objective of this component of the Music Industry Development program is to assist emerging artists from New Brunswick with the creation of tools and resources to further develop their career path . This includes production of a professional demo recording ; marketing , promotional branding , and design ; photography ; a promotional video ; and / or other tools and resources designed to enhance the applicant ’ s career . It will cover up to 75 % of eligible expenses , to a maximum of $ 1,500 . Applicants may only receive investment from this component once .
The Music Industry Development program also includes a Live Performance component , which has a rolling deadline ( no applications are accepted after Feb . 16 , 2022 ). Applications must be submitted at least two business days prior to the live performance date . This component provides investment for domestic and international live performance activity by New Brunswick artists . The program will provide a maximum of $ 5,000 per application for domestic tours and live performances , and a maximum of $ 7,500 per application for international tours and live performances .
Music BC Music BC is celebrating the first batch of singles to be released from this year ’ s Canadian Songwriter Challenge ( CSC ) participants . Back in June the association marked the seventh and final year of the
CSC as presented by Bell Media with 15 British Columbia songwriting teams all receiving a $ 1,000 prize to produce and record their single .
The first five singles are :

• Argel Monte de Ramos and Hira Lalani – “ Here We Are ”
• Bukola and Connor Nelson – “ Golden Hour ”
• Christine Lee and Jonny Tobin – “ Just a Feeling ”
• Chris Clute and Victoria Groff – “ Super Power ”

Alberta Music Alberta Music has notified its members that Tribe Drive , a show hosted by Rellik on The Raven 89.3 , is accepting song submissions for emerging artists to be showcased on Fridays . The Raven is a new Edmonton FM station playing pop , rock , blues , and hiphop music along with serving Edmonton ’ s Indigenous community . The station is Indigenous and inclusive and wants to play new music from Albertan artists .
Artists can submit their application to the show , which airs on weekday afternoons from 2-6 p . m . Songs need to be broadcast quality and submissions can be pop , rock , blues , roots , folk , or hip-hop ( no profanity ).
