Vicki Lovelee is an Asian Canadian alt-pop singer , songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Markham , Ontario . Her music combines pop with dark , dramatic sounds ; fused with orchestral instrumentations that immediately grabs your attention . She is a combination of fierce yet vulnerable , having eccentric elements like Lady Gaga and lush instrumentations like Lana Del Rey . She blends dark pop with theatrical elements like MARINA , Melanie Martinez and Phantom of the Opera .
This year , Lovelee released a new music video for her single “ Counting Me ”. It ’ s a revenge pop song about maintaining your confidence in the face of rejection . When focusing on yourself , you realize you can thrive without them . And soon they ’ ll regret mistreating you and start obsessing over you . Lovelee graduated from York University ’ s Music Program , where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts . She also completed Canada ’ s Music Incubator ’ s Artist Entrepreneur Program in 2021 . She has accumulated 70K + streams on music platforms .
Natural Twenty is a dynamic and cosmopolitan band based in Calgary , AB that blends funk , jazz , soul , and R & B . Originally a blues rock project , the band has evolved and grown under the leadership of Frederick Fernandez ( vocals ), Jason Cillo ( guitar ), and Robin Cillo ( drummer ), who are all Canadianborn Filipinos . The band draws inspiration from a diverse range of musical infuences such as Anderson Paak , Tom Misch , Hiatus Kaiyote , and Snarky Puppy and has been compared to iconic artists like Jamiroquai , Phony Ppl , and Sublime with vocals akin to Bruno Mars and John Legend .
Natural Twenty has made it their mission to inspire and uplift their community , particularly younger BIPOC and LG- BTQ + individuals in the local music scene . They ’ ve participated in numerous cultural events and collaborate with LGBTQ + musicians to promote greater inclusivity and acceptance . Their virtuosity , dedication , and passion are palpable in every performance , and their debut EP , Cantrips , is a testament to the start of their career in the Canadian music scene .

Formed by a group of roommates in Hamilton ’ s Westdale community , Dammit Goldie is part of a wave of artists who hit the ground running in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic . With punk vocals as strong and earthy as a lion ’ s roar , nostalgic grunge riffs and a theoretical foundation that rivals legendary math rock bands , Dammit Goldie delivers a rock fusion sound that is equal parts innovative and familiar .
The band has released three new singles in the course of a year with a music video to accompany each . Dammit Goldie entered the studio in early 2023 to record new material , with the band ’ s latest release , a single titled “ Medusa ,” having dropped in January .
