Audio-Technica Canada Sales Engineer , Installed Sound Audio-Technica Canada is looking for an engineer to serve as the sales and technical support manager for the installed sound market . As part of our small and passionate Canadian team based in the South Shore of Montreal , this individual will be responsible for growing and developing sales as well as building and fostering strong relationships with integrators .
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for defining a process to identify and track potential contractor bids to assist customers with all aspects of the bid process and communicate possible requirements internally . Forecast information will need to be provided to support inventory planning . Assisting in marketing efforts for product launches and participation at tradeshows will also be required . The person in this role will act as the main engineering interface for Audio- Technica Canada to the ATUS engineering team for support approach and alignment .
The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree or equivalent , with well-established industry experience and networks . Strong audio and control system product knowledge , as well as knowledge of the industry and technology trends , are a must . Must be available for domestic and international travel ( once COVID-19 permits ). Due to the pandemic , work for this role is temporarily performed remotely from home . Job Overview The candidate will assist and support management & outside reps in driving adoption of HPC solutions in the Canadian installation market across all verticals , and develop relationships with key audio consultants and design / build integration companies . You will work with HPC to develop a training curriculum and execute product training for the sales force and customers , as well as assist with event preparations when needed . Lastly , provide technical and logistical support to key influencers and customers , and provide feedback market intelligence to suppliers .
What you will do :
Manage relationships with key influencers •° Sustain relationships with key audio consultants , sales reps , and customers .
•° Sustain relationships with commercial installation companies and support them in installing and supplying HPC solutions .
•° Develop and sustain relationships with key influencers in other vertical markets
•° such as houses of worship , corporate AV , theatre , conferencing , education , etc . Help grow HPC distributed brands through user case studies and stories suitable for publication in all media ( print , web , social sites etc .).
Product feedback
•° Gather data from influencers , customers , users , and the sales channel on products and feedback to HPC to guide future requirements and represent the voice of the customer . •° Deliver market intelligence .
Technical marketing •° Deliver appropriate training as required . •° Attend trade shows , help with managing technical aspects thereof , man booths at shows .
•° Aid consultants and installation companies in specifying and setting up complex systems .
Product management •° If appropriate , you will oversee the sales , purchasing , inventory management , and marketing of select brands , to be discussed .
•° Interact directly with suppliers and may assist in product development activities .
What we are looking for •° Strong existing network of contacts within the commercial audio market
•° Expert knowledge of the professional audio market and audio networking protocols and deployment
•° Expert knowledge of the Integration , Commercial , Production , Live , and Retail markets •° Proficiency with EASE •° Attendance and set up of Trade Show booths •° Minimum 5 years in product support , sales , or management experience •° Technical background •° Knowledge of the HPC product range
( additional training will be made available ) •° Collaborative team worker and someone who will fit in with our existing team
•° Ability to communicate with audio professionals at high level
•° Confident representative of sales and marketing team
•° Ability to travel throughout Canada , the U . S ., and internationally •° Microsoft Office proficiency
