Orange Amplification Rockerverb 50 Mk III Combo Neo
Orange Amplification has introduced the slimmed-down Rockerverb 50 Mk III Combo Neo , with all the sonic characteristics of the Rockerverb , but now nearly 20 % lighter and more portable . The use of new technology and design tweaks has seen the Rockerverb 50 combo placed on a crash diet , losing nearly 8 kg .
Orange first revisited the cabinet construction for the Rockerverb 50 Mk III Combo Neo , slimming the Baltic birch plywood from 18 mm to 15 mm . Those slimmer walls removed approximately 2 kg without compromising build or sound quality , making it one of the lightest 2 × 12 ” speaker cabinets on the market . The existing V30 speakers have been replaced with new UK-built Celestion Creambacks . The neodymium in these speakers is more magnetic than standard ferrite , so less metal is required for the same job , meaning that , at only 1.9 kg each , the Creambacks perform like speakers three times their weight .
Roland SH-4d Synthesizer
Roland has announced the SH-4d Synthesizer , a new desktop instrument focused on synthesis and sound design . With 11 OSC Models and a hands-on panel filled with knobs , buttons and sliders , the SH-4d fuels on-the-spot creation and endless sonic discoveries . It also features a multitimbral sequencer with four synth parts and a customizable rhythm part , allowing users to compose patterns with motion recording , extensive effects and more . Equally suited for studio , stage and traveling , the SH-4d has appeal for both modern electronic music creators and synth collectors everywhere .

Magnatone has announced the release of its new Super Fifty-Nine M80 Combo Amp . This 2x12 ” Combo version of the 45-watt , EL- 34-driven model combines low to medium gain tones with an extra gain stage . Accessing it all is easy via the front switch or footswitch . This amp comes with a tube-buffered effects loop and a wellplanned palette of tone controls .
