Roland has introduced the Aerophone AE-20 , the latest member of the company ’ s family of digital wind instruments . The Aerophone AE-20 delivers the playability and expression of the flagship Aerophone Pro in a more compact and streamlined design .
The Aerophone AE-20 features the core sounds and expressive control of the Aerophone Pro , along with the premier model ’ s key touch , playability , and mobile design . The Aerophone AE-20 provides a wide range of authentic acoustic instrument sounds at the touch of a button . Soprano , alto , tenor , and baritone saxes are on hand , plus clarinet , flute , trumpet , and more . Violin , cello , and other string instruments are also included , along with world instruments like erhu , shakuhachi , and bagpipes . Backed by Roland ’ s SuperNATURAL technology , the company says that each playing nuance is fully translated with realistic dynamics , articulations , and overtones .
With the ZEN-Core Synthesis System , the same sound engine found in Roland ’ s professional keyboards , everything from traditional analog synths to modern digital voices are available , all curated for the unique articulations and extended dynamic range of a wind instrument .

Pioneer DJ has released the DDJ-REV7 DJ controller . The two-channel unit enables artists to maximize the full potential of Serato DJ Pro performance software , and boasts a new design including large , vinylized , motorized jog wheels with On Jog Display to create a tactile connection between artists and their music .
The DDJ-REV DJ Controller Series is an ideal solution for open-format and scratch DJs as it emulates a professional DJM-S mixer and PLX turntable setup . For the first time on a Pioneer DJ controller , the tempo sliders sit horizontally on the top of the deck sections to mirror PLX turntables in a battle configuration , while the performance pads and Lever FX paddles sit in the mixer section to parallel the DJM-S Series mixer design .
Unlike a traditional DJ controller , the DDJ-REV7 enables artists to replicate the analog mixing experience with its motorized 7-in . “ vinylized ” jog wheels . The jog wheels feature customizable settings and two slip sheets included inside each deck to allow artists to experiment with torque and friction . The acrylic top plate is uniquely finished to feel like a real analog record , and includes a spin treatment to easily catch on artists ’ fingertips . In the centre of each jog wheel is a 3.5-in .
