Linus Entertainment Acquires Stony Plain ’ s Music Publishing Catalog
Linus Entertainment has acquired Stony Plain ’ s music publishing catalog . The move follows Linus ’ previous purchase of the label ’ s masters .
“ It ’ s been just over two years since Linus Entertainment acquired the Stony Plain Records catalog ,
LINUS CEO GEOFF KULAWICK things have gone so smoothly and they have done such a good job with the recordings it felt like the right home for the publishing catalog as well ,” says Holger Petersen , who founded Stony Plain publishing 49 years ago from his home base in Edmonton with longtime partner Alvin Jahns .
“ These songs are part of the history of North American roots music , written by Grammy , Juno , and Blues Music Award winners , and we couldn ’ t be prouder to be their music publisher ,” adds Linus Entertainment CEO Geoff Kulawick .
The Stony Plain music publishing catalog includes songs written by Maria Muldaur , Ronnie Earl , Colin Linden , Harry Manx , Paul Reddick , Big Dave Maclean , and Charlie Angus , as well as songs recorded by Bonnie Raitt , Taj Mahal , Jeff Healey , Long John Baldry , and more .

‘ Safe Travels Stamp ’ Program Announced for Canadian Live Music Industry
The Canadian Live Music Association ( CLMA ) has partnered with the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario ( TIAO ) who is administering the national Safe Travels Stamp program in Canada . The Safe Travels Stamp is an international symbol designed to help travellers to quickly recognize businesses and organizations that have adopted standardized health and hygiene protocols . Eligible companies , such as live music venues , festivals , and others , will be able to display the stamp based on worldwide industry protocols the World Travel and Tourism Council ( WTTC ) has put together for every aspect of the hospitality and tourism sector .

That ’ s why our members continue to invest heavily in the protection of fans , artists , and crew , leveraging best practices from at home and around the world .
