Canadian Live Music Association The CLMA and its members have launched an awareness campaign to bring attention to the damage COVID-19 shutdowns have caused Canada ’ s live music industry – the artists , festivals , venues , promoters , clubs , concert halls , arenas , talent agencies , unions , crew , and many others working in the supply chain that connect Canadians with live music experiences . The campaign is dubbed # ForTheLoveOfLive and is asking fans , industry , and all those who miss live music to share their memories and support their friends and neighbours who make up this industry .
The CLMA has released a “ Live Music Recovery Plan ,” which includes key recommendations for the federal government , to help stem devastating losses .
Fans are encouraged to join the live music industry and support this campaign by sharing their favourite live music memories , concert videos , and photos on social media , using the # ForTheLoveOfLive hashtag . Canadian Country Music Association The 2021 CCMA Awards and Country Music Week , which was previously scheduled for Sept . 9-12 in London , ON , will now take place Nov . 27-30 , 2021 .
“ In what is poised to be one of the first major events hosted by our city on the road to recovery , moving the dates allows us to host a safer , more inclusive event ,”
TEBEY AT THE 2019 CCMA AWARDS says Natalie Wakabayashi , director of culture and entertainment tourism for Tourism London . “ The host organizing committee is working hard with the CCMA team to plan a number of exciting events for our community leading up to and including Country Music Week and the awards show .”
The CCMA plans to kickoff Country Music Week on Saturday , Nov . 27 th . The CCMA Fan Village , CCMA Songwriters ’ Series , CCMA Legends Show , CCMA Gala Dinner & Awards , as well as CCMA Seminar Series will all be a part of the Country Music Week schedule . The week will culminate with the CCMA Awards on Tuesday , Nov . 30 th at Budweiser Gardens .

Canadian Independent Music Association ( CIMA ) CIMA is offering artists / bands the opportunity to be featured during its virtual professional development sessions throughout 2021 . These sessions will include panels , information sessions , lunch and learns , etc ., in front of both national and international audiences . The performances will be aired during the live portion of the events .
As well , CIMA says it will promote the selected artists / bands and their company / business representatives on its website and socials prior to the events . Artists / bands selected for these opportunities will be contacted directly by CIMA and consulted on which session their

performance will be featured in . Artists will receive a performance fee for the use of their live recording in CIMA ’ s session .
As these sessions will take place throughout 2021 , CIMA is asking artists to complete the application form in order to be considered throughout the year .

NCRA / ANREC The NCRA / ANREC ( the association representing non-profit radio stations in Canada ) has set up a system that allows artists and labels to upload their music and submit it directly to more than 100 radio stations and their programmers . This new system , called ! earshot Distro , is a non-profit system that replaces the need to send CDs or unsolicited emails . The NCRA / ANREC has secured agreements with the majority of Canada ’ s national and provincial music associations . Their members now have access to at least $ 300-worth of credits to upload their music to the system by March 31 , 2021 . There is no maintenance fee . It ’ s 100 % free to put new and back catalogue music on the system .
