Numark DJ2GO2 Touch Pocket DJ Controller
Numark has released the DJ2GO2 Touch, which is a portable, pocket-sized
DJ controller with the ability to scratch on capacitive-touch jog
wheels.
With a built-in sound card and Serato DJ Lite software, the
DJ2GO2 Touch fits perfectly in front of a laptop. Building on the
DJ2GO2 that was released in 2017, the DJ2GO2 Touch adds the
ability to scratch. The capacitive touch jog wheels allow DJs to
perform light to heavy scratches and blend their mix by nudging
the side of the jog wheel. The company says it is also a useful prep
tool for DJ gigs, when performing at small gigs, and as a space-
saving extra setup for big events.

Boss has introduced the Waza-Air wire-
less personal guitar amplification system.
It’s a wearable, over-ear sound system for
guitarists that is designed to meld the com-
pany’s high-end amp, effects, and wireless
technologies with 3D sound and natural
“amp-in-room” tone.
The Waza-Air is meant to restore the
natural dimension, resonance, and “moving
air” feel of playing through an amp in a
room within a monitoring environment.
An integrated gyro sensor tracks head
movements as the user plays, driving 3D
algorithms that produce an immersive
sound field with spatial realism. Waza-Air’s
advanced ambience setups provide three
realistic environments to play in. Surround
mode places the amp in a virtual room,
providing an immersive experience like
playing in a recording studio. Static mode
provides natural spatial localization, where
the combined amp and room sound
continually changes depending on where
the user moves their head. Finally, Stage
mode places the user centre stage, with the
amp sound coming from a virtual backline
behind them. Further control and custom-
ization is available through the free Boss
Tone Studio app for iOS and Android.
