JBL Professional One Series 104
Compact Reference Monitors
JBL Professional, a division of Harman Professional Solutions,
has introduced the One Series 104 compact powered reference
monitors.
The One Series 104 monitors use newly-engineered 4.5-in.
coaxial drivers that provide full-range performance for clear highs
and deep bass without a subwoofer. This new coaxial driver has
been specially contoured using the same research that led to the
waveguide found in M2, 7-Series, and 3-Series monitors, and like
these monitors, the One Series monitors are designed to provide
a wide, immersive sweet spot and high degree of accuracy.
To offer optimal performance at loud playback levels, the
monitors have clean, integrated 60-W Class D amplification that
can drive the speakers to 104db SPL (peak) without distortion.
With their compact size, the monitors can be used in smaller
workspaces and feature a front-panel volume control. Dual 1/4-in.
balanced and single 1/8-in. unbalanced TRS inputs accommodate
a wide range of sources.

PG Music Band-in-a-Box 2019 Music
Accompaniment Software
PG Music has released the 2019 edition of its Band-in-a-Box
intelligent music accompaniment software for Windows, which
includes 64 new features and enhancements. With Band-in-a-Box,
users can type in the chords for any song, choose the style they
would like, and the software automatically generates a complete
professional-quality arrangement in a wide variety of styles plus
optional live audio tracks with RealDrums and RealTracks – audio
instruments that replace the MIDI track with actual recordings of
top studio musicians.
The 2019 version includes 202 new RealTracks, 40 bonus
RealTracks, new RealStyles, MIDI SuperTracks, Instrumental Studies,
RealDrums transcriptions, Xtra Styles PAK 6, MIDI styles, and more.
The 64-bit version of Band-in-a-Box works well with the latest
plug-ins and 64-bit OS features. Also included is a 64-bit VST plug-in
of Band-in-a-Box, which can be used inside popular DAWs to gener-
ate styles, RealTracks, RealDrums, Multi-Riffs, and more.
The redesigned SongPicker shows information for up to
50,000 songs and has useful filter and search features, including
search by chord progression and/or melodic phrase.

HeadRush FRFR-108 Powered
Cabinet

HeadRush has introduced the FRFR-108 full-range, flat-response
powered cabinet, designed for use with guitar and bass amp
modellers.
More compact than the company’s FRFR-112, the FRFR-
108 features a long-excursion 8-in. two-way speaker capable of
outputting 2,000 W and weighs 20 lbs. It also features a contour
EQ switch to cut through muddy stage mixes, and the Ground-
Lift switch eliminates unwanted noise at venues with grounding
issues. The XLR output sends the mix to the front of house or
links additional cabinets. The FRFR-108 features a flexible tilt-back
cabinet design that can also be pole-mounted.
