Canadian Musician surveyed musicians across the country to find out about their experiences at music industry conferences such as Canadian Music Week , BreakOut West , etc .
54 % 56 % 69 % of respondents having attended CMW which is the most popular conference while 46 % have attended a provincial music association conference
plan to attend one or more conferences this year
say connecting & networking with industry professionals is their main reason for attending
35 % 79 % say they have specific objectives in mind when attending conferences while 58 % say they only had a broad idea of what they wanted to achieve
have implemented a lesson or advice they received at an industry conference to advance their career
