Orange Amplification has announced its limited-edition Marcus King MK Ultra signature amp . Created in conjunction with Grammy Award-nominated singer – songwriter Marcus King , the MK Ultra is Orange ’ s first-ever amplifier designed with Orange USA and built in the U . S .
Using components including American-made custom Heyboer transformers , the handwired 30W all-valve guitar amplifier brings together classic American and British tonal sensibilities . The MK Ultra features tuned input circuitry that responds to different volumes and tone settings on the guitar . This is driven by a pair of 12AX7 preamp valves feeding into a power amp section consisting of two 6L6GC power valves that are cathode-biased . This choice of output valves is a first for Orange , bringing out added harmonics and touch sensitivity .

Reintroduced in 2021 , the PRS Special Semi-Hollow features several appointments that were maintained for this Limited Edition , including a 22-fret , 25-in . scale length neck , semi-hollow body with single f-hole , and hum-Narrowfield-hum pickup configuration . This Private Stock limited edition features woods from the Private Stock Vault , including a highly figured maple top , a Black Limba back and neck , ziricote fretboard , truss rod cover , and headstock veneer . It ’ s finished with white mother of pearl and paua inlays , smoked black hardware , and a high-gloss nitro Citrus Glow finish . Only 85 of these PRS Private Stock Special Semi-Hollow Limited Edition instruments will be made .
