Epiphone Matt Heafy Les Paul Custom Origins Collection

Epiphone has introduced the Matt Heafy Les Paul Custom Origins Collection . The collection of guitars marks the third official collaboration between Epiphone luthiers and Matt Heafy , the guitarist and lead vocalist for Florida heavy metal band Trivium .
Heafy worked with Epiphone luthiers to create a collection of guitars made for metal music . The Matt Heafy Les Paul Custom Origins Collection is available in six- and sevenstring versions , in both ebony and bone white , and each guitar is also available in right- and left-handed versions . Each guitar features a pair of Matt Heafy ’ s Fishman Fluence Custom Series signature humbucker pickups that offer three tones – two standard modern voices , and one clear single-coil tone . These tonal options are selected with push / pull volume and tone pots . The maple-capped mahogany body has modern weight relief for comfortable play , and the mahogany neck has a SpeedTaper D profile and a contoured heel for upper-fret access . The guitars also feature gold hardware , including locking Grover Rotomatic tuners with Tulip buttons . A custom hardshell case is also included .

Yamaha 2022 CFX Concert Grand Piano

Yamaha has introduced the next generation of the CFX , a handcrafted concert grand piano designed to meld tradition and innovation . Compared the original 2010 model , the updated CFX combines minor changes , such as all three legs now having locking castors , and more substantial improvements , such as the reshaped soundboard .
On the CFX , Yamaha utilizes what it terms the “ Unibody Concept ,” which it says minimizes loss of expressivity between the piano ’ s keys and listener . The CFX uses Yamaha ’ s A . R . E . ( Acoustic Resonance Enhancement ) technology to treat the rims and back posts . This wood-reforming process uses moisture control , temperature manipulation , and pressure to enhance the natural tonal characteristics of the wood . According to the company , A . R . E . diminishes unwanted damping of vibrations , which can help emulate the warm rich timbres found in decades-old instruments .
On the new model , the shape and width of the CFX ’ s soundboard have been modified to improve transmission , which the company says creates a richer and more resonant mid-bass sound with a wider dynamic range .
