Modal Electronics has released the SKULPTsynth SE , which fuses a slim form factor with black and white touch keypads , easier-to-read front panel descriptors , and improved build quality .
Under the hood , the SKULPTsynth SE features a next-generation synth engine powered by dual WAVE groups per voice , each with four oscillators ( a total of eight oscillators per voice ) that allow users to craft flavourful sonic fundamentals . Timbre adjustment is easy thanks to its state-variable two-pole filters that morph from low-pass through to bandpass and high-pass . With its resonance feature , it picks out rich harmonics at high resonance levels . Shape sound for optimum articulation with three envelopes that provide extensive control of the dynamics and expressive output of the sound . Finally , two LFOs , one global and one polyphonic , can be synced to internal or external tempo , and the integrated delay and distortion effects give more options to craft a signature sound .

Supro has released the Keeley Custom 12 amplifier , which was designed in collaboration with Robert Keeley of Keeley Electronics as a follow-up to the Custom 10 .
The Keeley Custom 12 is built to integrate pedals into the heart of an all-tube Supro amplifier . The preamp and two-band EQ section are voiced for running gain pedals in front of the amp , while still maintaining Supro ’ s signature midrange heft and touch dynamics . A transparent effects loop provides the ideal point to inject delay and reverb effects into the amplifier ’ s all-tube signal path , avoiding unwanted distortion on modulation effects . The Keeley Custom 12 features the Celestion G12M-65 Creamback speaker , developed in the mid 1960s and used by some of the biggest guitar players in history . It produces vintage , woody tone while still offering a lot of power . Low-end heft complements warm and vocal mid-range , with crunchy upper-mids and sweet , articulate highs , according to the company . A master volume circuit allows the player to control the sound pressure level coming from the speaker , while pouring on a lot of gain from the ECC83S-based tube preamp or their dirt pedals .
