Tech 21 Bass Fly Rig v2
Tech 21 has introduced version two of the Bass Fly Rig . With a Bass Fly Rig , bassists have an easily-transportable solution for getting rich , expressive combinations they can use on stage or in the studio .
The all-analog SansAmp heart is what enables the user to go direct to a PA or studio mixers and computer interfaces . With the Bass Fly Rig v2 , they now have a choice of SansAmp Character modes : SansAmp Bass Driver DI for a variety of classic bass tube amp tones , or VT Bass DI with a more specific focus on Ampegstyle tones ; Channel switching for different Drive and Level settings ( go from clean to dirty , not-so-clean to not-so-dirty , or very dirty to “ downright nasty ,” or any other pairing in between ; and an Effect Loop to facilitate incorporating additional outboard effects .
Other features include three-band active EQ , compressor , chorus , octaver , and fuzz . The Bass Fly Rig v2 also provides a chromatic tuner , XLR output , and a 1 / 4-in . 4.7-megohm / 10-kiloohm padded input to deliver the full sound of piezos . Housed in an all-metal enclosure , the Bass Fly Rig v2 will easily fit in a gig bag or backpack .

Kawai KDP75 & KDP120 Digital Pianos
Kawai has added two models to its KDP series of digital pianos . The new KDP75 and KDP120 , which replace the KDP70 and KDP110 , respectively .
Upgraded attributes include a quieter action , connectivity to Kawai ’ s Piano Remote and Piabook apps for iOS and Android , and Low Volume Balance , which balances the tone when played at low volumes . Both models feature improved Shigeru Kawai concert grand samples , which provide significantly enhanced piano samples . The company says the new highlight is the Low Volume Balance , which adjusts keyboard touch and piano tone characteristics , allowing pianissimo passages to be played smoothly and more naturally when playing through speakers at a reduced volume setting . Featuring Kawai ’ s Responsive Hammer Compact II ( RHCII ) keyboard action , the KDP120 is designed to deliver a touch that feels and responds like an authentic acoustic grand piano action .
