Godin Acoustic Solutions ASG-8 120 Amplifier
Godin Guitars has introduced the Acoustic Solutions ASG-8 120 . This newly-redesigned acoustic amplifier was developed with the performing singer-songwriter and acoustic musician in mind .
The Acoustic Solutions ASG-8 120 features two channels with XLR and 1 / 4-in . inputs , independent gain and resonance controls , a sweet-sounding reverb , as well as other additional effects like echo , flange , and two types of choruses .
The company says the amplifier was designed to sound pristinely clean with a relatively flat yet very natural response , which is ideal for various acoustic instruments , such as steel or nylon-string guitar , or even violin , flute , and more , as well as for clear and dynamic vocals .
The ASG-8 120 also provides a convenient Aux input to play backing tracks from a smartphone , tablet , or laptop , which can also be played through the amp ’ s Bluetooth connectivity .

Roland VH-14D Electronic Hi-Hat
Roland has released the VH-14D electronic hi-hat , which offers improved touch sensitivity , tonal variation , and open / closed resolution .
The VH-14D ’ s two-piece design and thin 14-in . pads provide a familiar look and natural feel , while the high-resolution , multisensor system tracks velocity , stick position , and foot work with enhanced precision . Foot splashes are reproduced authentically , and drummers can even mute the cymbals with a hand touch , just like acoustic hi-hats . Roland says the VH-14D is the ideal complement to the PD-140S digital snare and CY-18DR digital ride .
For the most expressive VH-14D experience , Roland says to pair the digital hi-hat with the flagship TD-50X sound module or a TD-50 module with the TD-50X upgrade installed . These modules include new sounds that are fully optimized for the VH-14D . Standard TD-50 and TD-27 modules are also compatible with the VH-14D via a free system update .
