Denon MCX8000 DJ Controller
Denon DJ has introduced the MCX8000 DJ controller , which gives the DJ full control over the company ’ s Engine media player and Serato DJ software on the same control surface . With the MCX8000 , two DJs can hand off from one to another , combining Engine and Serato DJ .
DJs can use the MCX8000 with USB drives by opting to use Denon DJ Engine without a computer connected . Engine enables the DJ to directly import Serato DJ crates and hot cues , as well as create their own .
Other features include : a professional four-channel digital mixer with two microphone inputs ; three built-in instant effects for Engine playback and line inputs ; velocity-sensitive performance pads for cues , rolls , slicer , and samples ; and an Ethernet connection to control lighting and video .

Ideal for solo performers , small bands , venues , and commercial applications that require lower channel counts , both mixers are equipped with Mackie ’ s Wide-Z mic preamps that can handle a mic or guitar with no gain adjustments . Zoom North America has introduced the ARQ Aero RhythmTrak . The ARQ allows music producers to create drum patterns , sequences , synth sounds , and loops and also launch clips and control MIDI . Performers can also detach the ARQ ’ s wireless Bluetooth Ring Controller for live use .
The ARQ ’ s Base Station houses 468 drum and instrument sounds , dozens of digital effects , and a sound engine that includes 70 “ one-shot ” sampled waveform sounds in addition to a comprehensive synthesizer . Users can choose from 531 different oscillator types for sonic variety and then add digital effects . Users can also create original loops from onboard sounds or patterns , or by capturing external audio via dual 1 / 4-in . inputs . Up to 32 loops can play back simultaneously , forward or reversed , sliced , pitch-changed , and synchronized to the same tempo .
The Ring Controller communicates with its Base Station , as well as computer and iOS-based DAWs , via wireless Bluetooth LE . It has 96 velocity- and pressuresensitive pads with after touch and a built-in three-axis accelerometer that generates MIDI control messages to change sounds and effects in real time .
