Yamaha DTX6 Series Electronic Drum Kits
Yamaha has released the DTX6 Series , which includes three new electronic drum kits – the DTX6K-X , DTX6K2-X , and DTX6K3-X .
At the core of each kit is the new DTX-Pro sound engine , which includes over 700 sounds arranged into 40 preset kits , along with slots for 200 user kits . A key feature for the series is the kit modifier knobs on the DTX-Pro . The Ambience Modifier knob controls the amount of sampled real room sound that is applied to the drum kit sound , but it can also be used to add additional Yamaha digital reverb algorithms . Comp Modifier adds compression to the whole kit to add “ sonic glue ” when introduced subtly , or give the kit a more aggressive character when turned up . Effect Modifier controls the audio sends and returns from the two built-in processors . The user can choose which pads are sent to which processors for full control . The kit modifiers on the DTX6 models make sound adjustments fast and easy . This is in addition to the compression , transient adjustment , and EQ to be found on each drum or cymbal channel .
The professional-grade headphone amp delivers high-precision , low-distortion sound directly to the player without disturbing others . As well , the TCS ( Textured Cellular Silicone ) heads provide an improved feel and quietness . Cubase AI is included for recording , editing , and mixing music with USB connection to the computer .

Eventide H9 Plug-in Series Bundle
Eventide Audio has introduced the H9 Plug-in Series Bundle , bringing DAW users a collection of effects from the H9 Harmonizer effects processor . The plug-in bundle for Windows and Mac computers is made up of 11 key effects .
Individually , each of the effects in the bundle offers a wide range of sonic options around specialized functions . There are four unique reverbs – Blackhole , Spring , ShimmerVerb , and MangledVerb . For pitch shifting there is MicroPitch and Crystals . The two creative modulators are Rotary Mod and Undulator . The final three creative tools are Tricera- Chorus , CrushStation , and UltraTap .
All the tools in the H9 Plug-in Series feature the company ’ s Ribbon control , which lets users morph the effect between two different settings . This makes automation for sweeps , transitions , and effect throws more gratifying and simplified , according to the company .

Framus & Warwick Distance Buffer
Warwick has released the Distance Buffer , which is a simple , inexpensive , and practical tool that makes it easier to open the electronic compartments on the backs of guitars or basses .
Often when opening the electronic compartment , it ’ s easy to remove the screws but trickier to lift the cover . This is where the Distance Buffer comes in . With its built-in spring , it pushes the cover of the electronic compartment upwards when loosening the screws . With a little bit of craftmanship the installation is done quickly . The installation diameter is 5 mm .
