Proudly hailing from the Alberta Peace Country, Brad
Lynch Band offer a unique and wholesome take on
folk-tinged country, effortlessly swaying from boot-
stomping bangers to more subdued, heart-on-sleeve
stylings.
Brad Lynch (vocals, guitar, harmonica) and Matt
O’Connor (mandolin, fiddle, banjo) met while sup-
porting other acts in their shared musical circles and,
in 2018, started collaborating on material of their own.
Shortly thereafter, they welcomed Kyle Doucette (lead
guitar, banjo), Dano Laflamme (drums, vocals), and Lo-
gan Kennedy (guitar, steel, dobro, keys, vocals) to the
fold. Together, they’ve been working hard and watch-
ing their audience and profile grow in tandem.
Check out their singles “Dust Blown Down” and
“River Road” for a taste of what they do best, and keep
an ear out for new music in 2020.
Between the depth of her voice, substance of her songwrit-
ing, and seemingly endless list of awards and achievements,
you might be fooled into thinking that Mikalyn has been in
the game for decades.
But that’s easily forgiven, as despite having yet to hit her
20s, the artist’s signature alt-pop stylings bely her age and blur
lines between genres and eras, making her music all the more
compelling. She obviously takes great pride in her output, show-
casing a skillful approach to arrangement and production with
a keen attention to detail. She’s also an in-demand collaborator,
having lent her unmistakable vocals to elevate tracks from Ma-
chine Drivers, Öwnboss & Zerky, Röde, and others in just 2019
alone.
With a one-of-a-kind style and unwavering drive, Mikalyn shows
no signs of slowing down on her already-impressive trajectory.

You may have seen him on stage supporting the
likes of T-Pain, J. Cole, and Tyga, or maybe caught
his vid on the infamous WorldstarHipHop.com. In
any case, Edmonton-based MC Angelo has been
turning a lot of heads in recent years, and it’s easy to
hear why. While the Lil Wayne comparisons are apt
and inevitable, Angelo casts a wider net of influence
and inspiration for a style all his own. His tracks – like
the slick and sensual “Don’t Give It Away” from late
2019 – are fresh, focused, and slay from the stage
thanks to the artist’s captivating performance style.
Having spent much of 2019 on the road, jump-
ing from one major North American city to the next
to play, push his product, and make connections,
Angelo is poised to make good on plenty of op-
portunities throughout 2020 and beyond.
