RPMDA RECEPTION Wednesday , July 14 th , 3-5 p . m . Thanks to NAMM , the Retail Print Music Dealers Association ( RPMDA ) is bringing its members together in-person for the first time since the pandemic began . It ’ ll be hosting a reception on July 14 th from 3-5 p . m . in the Music City Center .
The RPMDA is a professional trade organization founded over 40 years ago to address the special needs and interests of the dynamic print music industry . It provides a forum for exchanging ideas and building bridges within the print music industry and provides an opportunity for dealers and publishers to meet in a non-commercial setting to discuss the present and plan for the future .
AIMM SUMMER SUMMIT Wednesday , July 14 th The Alliance of Independent Music Merchants ( AIMM ) will gather for an in-person Summer Summit , right before the start of Summer NAMM . There will be an opening reception for AIMM members on the Monday , followed by a full-day convention on the Tuesday .
NASMD CONVENTION Monday July 12 th & Tuesday , July 13 th The National Association of School Music Dealers ( NASMD ) will host its annual convention during the week of Summer NAMM . ( Registration is required .) For NASMD members , there will be an opening party on Monday night followed by a one-day convention on Tuesday at the Hilton Nashville Downtown , which is located near the convention centre .
TEC TRACKS Thursday , July 15 th & Friday , July 16 th TEC Tracks returns with sessions designed to help audio professionals take their careers to the next level . Notable sessions include “ How Recording Studios Can Thrive Through Disruption ”; “ Live Sound Post-COVID ” with Blackbird ’ s John McBride ; “ The Future of Livestreaming ”; Chuck Ainlay on the “ Future of the Recording Industry ”; and “ Cross-Cultural Issues and Solutions in the Music Industry .”
GENNEXT This education track provides sessions for college music educators and students , in collaboration with the College Music Society .
