Sarah Lima Joins SFM ’ s Pro Audio Team SFM has appointed Sarah Lima to the pro audio division as market development specialist , systems and control . Lima is now working directly with SFM ’ s systems brands to develop marketing plans , training programs , and trade show presence , as well as to expand the network of dealers and pro users across Canada .
Over the past decade , Lima has developed extensive experience in medium- and large-scale audio / video projects working with industry leaders and as an entrepreneur . She brings to the new role a background in project coordination , technical sales , and system programming .
Lima will be reporting to Joey Molino , director of brand management . “ Sarah ’ s skill set is a great fit for the company and we are very happy to have her join the team ,” he says . “ Her knowledge and friendly demeanour enable her to create high-trust relationships .”

Synthax Appoints GerrAudio as New Exclusive Canadian Distributor for RME Synthax , RME ’ s master distributor for the Americas , has announced the appointment of GerrAudio Distribution as the exclusive distributor for RME in Canada . GerrAudio will provide a dedicated market focus in RME ’ s product categories and increase RME ’ s brand presence , application support , and profile across the country .

JJ Babbitt President Steve Rorie Takes Over Ownership The JJ Babbitt Company is under new ownership . The 102-year-old manufacturer of mouthpiece brands Meyer , Otto Link , Hite , and many others for saxophones and clarinets , will remain in Elkhart , IN , indefinitely , according to an announcement by Steve Rorie , president and new owner , along with his wife , Debra .
Rorie joined JJ Babbitt as president in 2019 . He has over 40 years of experience in the music industry having worked for The Selmer Co ., Buffet Crampon , Verne Q . Powell Flutes , and B & S USA . He purchased the business from the Reglein Trust through Diana Reglein , widow of former owner and president , Bill Reglein . Rorie noted that he and Diana Reglein were both determined to keep JJ Babbitt operating in Elkhart .
“ I can ’ t thank or recognize Diana enough for her determination and interest in keeping JJ Babbitt ’ s legacy alive right here in Elkhart with the team intact ,” he says . “ We all will forever be grateful to her .”
