Led by Chief Innovation Officer Jim D ’ Addario , XS Electric still maintains the same benefits as XS Acoustic . Those benefits include maximum string life , thanks to the thin film coating ( 1 / 10 the thickness of a human hair ) that protects the wound strings from corrosion , and D ’ Addario ’ s proprietary dispersion coating , used in the XT line , to protect the plain-steel strings .
In addition , D ’ Addario ’ s NY Steel high carbon core wire and plain string wire , along with the company ’ s patented Fusion Twist technology provides better tuning stability , high break strength , and hex-core construction for enhanced dimensional stability , durability , and intonation . For electric guitarists , XS Electric strings include a reformulated nickel-plated steel wrap wire , providing a bright tone with increased output , bite , and sustain .
Pioneer DJ DM Series Desktop Monitors Pioneer DJ , part of the AlphaTheta Corporation , has announced a host of new models in the DM Series of desktop monitor systems . The new DM-50D-BT integrates Bluetooth functionality into the DM-50D speakers , which were released in late 2021 . Pioneer DJ ’ s DM-40 models also received an upgrade to help deliver a more optimal listening experience . The updated speakers offer Bluetooth connection capability and system upgrades to the compact DM-40 models for DJs and producers . All models are available in black or white and sold in pairs .
The speakers are designed to be easy to set up , tune , and use . With the speakers ’ Production Mode , by flicking a switch , the speakers ’ DSP settings will automatically adjust to create the best sound for each application . Artists can connect their DJ setup or home studio to the RCA and mini-jack input terminals on the DM Series speakers . The DM-50D-BT and DM-50D also have a TRS input , and the speakers ’ Bluetooth models enable artists to connect mobile devices for cable-free high-quality music playback wirelessly . Roswell Pro Audio Mini K67x Microphone Roswell Pro Audio has announced a new addition to Mini K microphone collection with the Mini K67x , adding to a product range that includes the Mini K47 , Mini K47 KD , and Mini K87 . The first in the line with a transformer-coupled circuit , the new Mini K67x is designed to infuse colour , character , and mojo into vocal and instrument tracks . The mic retains the “ point and shoot ” simplicity of the Mini K lineup , as well as the familiar compact form factor .
The mic ’ s name refers both to the capsule design and circuit topology . The capsule is dimensionally based on the K67 , although Roswell has created a proprietary voicing , which gives the mics its characteristic extended frequency response . The “ x ” refers to the transformer-coupled circuit , designed to complement the source with harmonics . The sonic inspiration for the K67x was the workhorse tube mic of the 1960s , which offered wideband frequency response and harmonics .
