The successful candidates will teach courses in Vocal Performance and may also be required to contribute to curriculum development in the course / program .
Instructors are also responsible for :
• P Ensuring that course content and lesson plans are current and relevant and reflective of best practices within the professional industry .
• P Creating an effective and cultivating learning environment for students .
• P Assisting in the design of suitable strategies and tools to support student learning .
• P Developing multi-media materials to assist in instruction and incorporating current educational technologies into the learning process .
• P Assisting and developing course material for their online course pages .
• P Developing suitable evaluations to assess student performance in the program .
• P Ensuring that students are aware of course and program learning outcomes , learning strategies , and evaluation techniques ; provide individual tutoring and academic counselling ; and evaluate student progress / achievement within their contracted courses .
• P Attending professional development seminars and clinics as required .

Solotech Position : Audiovisual Installation Technician
Region : Ottawa Full Time : Yes Permanent : Yes
Job Summary : Reporting to the Director of Operations , the Installation Technician is responsible for executing installation work and ensures the start-up of audiovisual equipment for our permanent installation projects .
Your day will look like this :
• P Installation of audiovisual equipment and accessories for clients
• P Set up equipment , carry out tests and validation according to norms , plans , and specifications
• P Work closely with project managers in order to know the specific needs of the clients
• P Familiarize the clients with the functioning of our equipment
• P Represent Solotech with clients
• P Ensure the trucks as well as the Pwarehouse are clean and organized
• P Keep updated and in sufficient quantity the inventory of the trucks ’ equipment
• P Manipulate , transport , and use tools , equipment , materials , and required vehicles to install audiovisual equipment
• P Remain up to date when it comes to new products and technological developments in the audiovisual field
• P Ensure to respect the health and safety rules and requirements applicable to the projects
Your profile :
• P CTA or Professional Diploma in audio-visual / electronic or equivalent ( an asset )
• P Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the integration / installation of audiovisual equipment field
• P Knowledge of sound systems , lighting , video and / or video conference control equipment
• P Knowledge of carpentry : chemical and mechanical anchorage , passing cabling , etc .
• P Possess the AV products manufacturer ’ s certification ( an asset )
• P Advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite
• P Knowledge of Autocad Viewer , an asset
• P Possess a valid driver ’ s license asPwell as a good driving file . Possess a vehicle for occasional travel
• P Possess a valid passport ( an asset )
• P Able to obtain the federal government ’ s security accreditation
• P Fluency in both official languages , spoken and written
• P Holds the ASP Construction training ( an asset )
