Gibson Slash Collection Les Paul Standard
Electric Guitars
Gibson, in collaboration with the iconic Guns ‘n’ Roses
guitarist, has introduced the Slash Collection, which includes
four Les Paul Standard electric guitars. The collection is com-
prised of the most influential Gibson guitars Slash has used
throughout his career.
Each Slash Collection Les Paul Standard features a AAA
maple top, solid mahogany body, and Slash’s personal touches,
including a C-shape neck profile, signature Gibson “Slash-
Bucker” pickups, colour-coordinated hardware appointments,
hand-wired electronics with orange drop capacitors, and a
vintage-style brown hardshell case. Exclusive to the Slash Col-
lection are Slash’s “Scully” signature drawing on the back of the
headstock, Slash’s signature on the truss rod cover (with a blank
truss rod cover in the case), Slash’s new Ernie Ball strings, and
four Slash Jim Dunlop Tortex picks. The Slash Collection Les
Paul Standard is available in November Burst, Appetite Burst,
Vermillion Burst, and Anaconda Burst finishes.

Ukulele Gig Bags
Orange Bass Butler Pedal
Orange Amplification has released the Bass Butler, a full bi-amp bass
rig in a pedal. The pedal splits the bass guitar signal into completely
separate, parallel analog signal chains like a real bi-amp rig but without
any amp.
The always-active Clean channel can be adjusted for compression,
bass, treble, and volume. An optical compressor circuit, cut/boost tone
controls, and dedicated, bass cabinet-simulated balanced D.I. output are
always on-hand with a range of classic clean tones. Five smaller knobs
control the volume, treble, middle, bass, and gain (with four stages) of
the Bass Butler’s Dirty channel, which can be added with a footswitch.
Coupled with a guitar cab-simulated balanced D.I. output and an ex-
pression pedal jack for extra control over the input gain, the Bass Butler
is designed to serve up a wide range of classic and contemporary tones.
Both channels have XLR balanced output, allowing the bi-amp bass
tone to arrive complete at the mixing desk. The Bass Butler also features
an Amp output, which takes a blend of the two channels set by the vol-
ume controls before the cabinet simulation circuits from a 1/4-in. jack,
making it ideal for connecting to the front end of a bass amp.
