Ovation Guitars has opened its new custom
shop in New Hartford, CT, which features a
small team of dedicated luthiers and technicians
with a specialized focus on custom-made, U.S.-
built Ovation and Adamas guitars.
In the near future, the Ovation Custom
Shop will have the ability to fulfill orders on
a variety of custom builds. Also located in
this New Hartford shop is the new Ovation
Workbench, where customers with Ovation and
Adamas guitars can get fully-authorized repairs,
set-ups, or updates.

and back towards boutique manufacturing in
Denmark.
Grøntved founded Lunastone in 2011
and hired Allan Strand as CEO in 2016. Its
pedals were always designed and developed in
Denmark, but production was moved abroad as
part of the previous economy-of-scale initiative.
Now, small-batch production will move back to
Denmark and the products will still be available
at dealers throughout the world.

Jamie Deering Promoted to CEO of Deering Banjo Company
Deering Banjo Company has announced the promotion of Jamie Deering to the position of
CEO. She is the daughter of company founders Greg and Janet Deering and has grown up
in the company.
“My view is looking at the next 20 years of Deering with a vision in the direction of
streamlining our processes and towards even greater efficiency to the benefit of all who work
at Deering and all our current and future customers,” she says.
Jamie Deering attended her first NAMM Show with her parents in 1979 when she was
just six. Throughout her early years, she worked in both production and administrative po-
sitions, gaining experience in every aspect of the family company. Later taking on manage-
ment roles, she most recently held the position of VP of public relations since 2017.

purchase agreement
in which Servco will
acquire TPG’s shares
in the company. The

close in February 2020.
