Musikmesse to Make 2022 Return as Both B2B & B2C Event After a forced absence due to the coronavirus pandemic , Musikmesse is scheduled to return from April 29 to May 1 , 2022 . A number of Musikmesse spinoffs will be taking place at the same time , some forming part of the supporting program : the Musikmesse Festival ( April 28-May 1 ), the Musikmesse Congress ( April 28-29 ), Musikmesse Education ( April 29-May 1 ), and the B2C event Musikmesse Plaza ( April 30-May 1 ). In response to requests from the sector , the schedule now overlaps with that of its sister event , Prolight + Sound , which takes place from April 26-29 .
In recent years , organizers debated about whether Musikmesse should be a B2B ( business to business ) or B2C ( business to consumer ) event and say it is now both . While the Musikmesse exhibition is still aimed at trade visitors and also features market participants from the music sector , the popular accompanying formats – Musikmesse Plaza and Musikmesse Festival – are geared towards end consumers . With the new Musikmesse Congress and Musikmesse Education , the event is adding a number of thematic areas to its portfolio , thereby covering the entire value chain for the music sector .
The Musikmesse exhibition provides a platform for key music industry players and small providers to present their wares . As well as musical instruments , books , and sheet music , Musikmesse ’ s exhibition portfolio now includes new technology and innovations from the music scene .
In the Musikmesse Plaza , exhibitors will have the chance to present their products and sell them directly to end consumers ( instruments , records / CDs , merchandising / lifestyle products , etc .). As well , the Musikmesse Plaza will have an extensive live entertainment program , meet and greet sessions , plus workshops and concerts featuring top professionals .
After its unscheduled hiatus , the Musikmesse Festival will take place for the fifth time . As in previous years , live shows are to be held in locations all over Frankfurt – from intimate venues to concert halls . Manufacturers and distributors will also have the chance to present their brands and products at the festival shows .
The Musikmesse Education section will provide visitors with an overview of the best teaching and learning methods . Replacing theory lessons with accessible , hands-on content , the congress program for Musikmesse 2022 covers a wide range of themes – from social media and influencer activities to music business matters such as music publishers , recording , and songwriting .

SFM Strengthens Leadership Team with Key Hires SFM has announced two additions to its executive leadership team : Jean Pierre ( JP ) Filion as vice president of revenue and growth , and Nader Tadros as vice president of digital transformation and marketing . Filion will lead the company ’ s sales organization and go-to-market strategies to drive its revenue and growth across all verticals and lines of business . Alongside Filion , Tadros will lead the company ’ s ongoing digital transformation , including building and scaling its marketing and brand management functions in support of its growth strategy .
Filion brings more than 30 years of sales and executive leadership experience within the IT and telecom manufacturing spaces , including hardware , software , and SaaS . His experience includes sales and leadership positions with Motorola , Symantec , and XMedius ( now OpenText ), among others , working locally , nationally , and internationally .
Tadros brings more than 25 years of international experience in both the OEM / supplier and distribution sides of the IT sector , working within a digital-first mindset . He has held a variety of management and leadership roles across sales , channel management , marketing , and distribution with companies including HP , Premier Farnell , Microsoft , and IBM , where he played roles in designing , scaling , and operating digital sales & marketing teams for software , hardware , and XaaS offerings .
