Saxophone Mouthpieces
D’Addario Woodwinds has released the Select Jazz
tenor saxophone mouthpieces.
These 100 per cent precision-milled (not moulded)
vintage-inspired jazz mouthpieces are made of solid
rod rubber using D’Addario’s computer-controlled
mouthpiece making technology. They are designed to
give a classic sound and response with even intonation
across the full range of the saxophone. They feature
medium chambers and facing lengths and are avail-
able in four tip openings: 6, 7, 8, and 9.

Genelec 1032C Nearfield Monitors-
Genelec has introduced the 1032C two-way nearfield
monitors with Smart Active Monitoring (SAM).
Based on the 1032A nearfield monitor launched in
1992 but with modern improvements like SAM, the
1032C fuses a suite of contemporary technologies with
the most popular qualities of the original, including
the same drivers, acoustic design, and soffit-mount-
able classic styling. The result is an upgraded monitor
built for modern music, post-production, and broad-
cast studios that retains the heritage and appeal of its
“A” and “B” version predecessors.
SAM is the foundation for the Genelec Loudspeaker
Manager (GLM) software application. Just as the first
1032 included rear-panel DIP switches to allow users
to calibrate their system for their working environ-
ment, the 1032C adds a precise and easy-to-achieve
auto-calibration system.
