Modal COBALT5S Synthesizer Modal Electronics has added to the COBALT Series with the new COBALT5S five-voice extended VA synthesizer . The USB-powered synth fuses Modal Electronics ’ next-generation COBALT synth architecture with an ultra-portable footprint .
The COBALT5S ’ features built-in MPE support , 16 quick-access smooth rotary switch encoders , a premium 37-note compact-key keybed with aftertouch , and an ultra-responsive X / Y / Z Touchpad for pitch bend , mod wheel , and / or modulation assignments . Rounding out the controls is a comprehensive realtime / step sequencer with four animation lanes alongside a built-in programmable arpeggiator . Like all Modal synthesisers , the COBALT5S is fully compatible with the free MODALapp , the gateway to editing and preset management .
Featuring five true polyphonic voices , two independent algorithm groups , and up to eight oscillators per voice , musicians , sound designers , and producers are armed with a large palette of sound . This is combined with 40 complex algorithms , including Sync , Ring Modulation , Waveform Morphng , and many more .
Gibson Elvis SJ-200 Acoustic Guitar Gibson has partnered with Authentic Brands Group ( ABG ) and Elvis Presley Enterprises to create the Elvis SJ-200 acoustic guitar in ebony . The SJ-200 is handmade by luthiers and artisans of the Gibson Acoustic Custom Shop in Bozeman , MT . Presley often used Gibson SJ- 200 acoustic guitars throughout his career . The new Elvis SJ-200 is based on a guitar that was given to Presley as a gift at a recording session at RCA Studio B in Nashville , TN in the mid-1960s . He used this SJ-200 acoustic guitar for numerous high-profile live performances . The Elvis SJ-200 features a maple back , sides , and neck , as well as a Sitka spruce top .
The guitar features all of the SJ-200 touches , including mother-of-pearl graduated crown and parallelogram inlays , a Moustache bridge and an Indian rosewood fingerboard , and comes equipped with an LR Baggs VTC under-saddle pick up . As an extra personalized Elvis touch , the guitar comes with a Kenpo Karate decal included in the hardshell case .

Representing the brand ’ s first big product release of the new decade , the TE-1200 delivers 1,200W of true RMS power , four-band equalization , the brand ’ s distinctive “ Pre Shape 1 ” switch with included footswitch , and the inputs / outputs modern bass players require .
On the front panel are input gain and output level controls as well as lo-band and hi-band compressors . The audio signal is divided into two bands , each with a separate compressor and adjustable threshold . A separate switch activates the compressor functions for both low and high bands . The function , which illuminates when active , is also available on the footswitch . Directly below is the EQ pre / post compressor switch . Active controls on the TE-1200 adjust four separate equalization bands — bass , low mid , high mid , and treble — and the footswitchable pre-shape introduces the distinctive “ Pre Shape 1 ” curve into the signal path .
The rear panel includes MIDI in / out , four-button MIDI footswitch ( with included 25-ft . cable ) for parallel control of the front panel switch functions , USB recording output / interface , and direct out ( DI ) to a mix console or analog recording device .
