PRS Names 7 Canadian Retailers Among Its Best Worldwide Dealers Every year , PRS Guitars recognizes its top retailers around the world for outstanding sales of its guitars and products . In early April , the awards are given to independent , chain , and online retailers who support the full line of PRS products .
Among PRS ’ s honourees were seven Canadian companies : Cosmo Music in Richmond Hill , ON ; The Guitar Shop in Mississauga , ON ; La Zone Musicale with two locations in Quebec ; Guitarworks , which has two stores in Calgary ; Musique Gagne in Quebec City ; and nationwide retailer Long & McQuade Musical Instruments .
PRS ’ s top dealers in the U . S . include Dave ’ s Guitar Shop , Chicago Music Exchange , Brian ’ s Guitars , Willcutt Guitar Shoppe , Wildwood Guitars , Pitbull Audio , Melody Music Shop II , Moore Music , Wildcat Guitars , Eddie ’ s Guitars , Sweetwater Sound , Ish Guitars , Guitar Center , Musician ’ s Friend , and Musical Fulfillment Services .

The NAMM Show Maps Out Dates for 2023 & 2024 The NAMM Board of Directors , its members , and staff have charted the path for The 2023 and 2024 NAMM Shows . With the 2021 show canceled and the 2022 show moved to this June , The 2023 NAMM Show is now scheduled for April 13- 15 , 2023 . Following that , the show will return to its traditional dates from Jan . 25-28 , 2024 .
NAMM says the timeline was based on the prioritization of the health and wellbeing of the industry , member feedback on creating a “ bridge ” back to January , and through a review of data surrounding current and historical pandemic activity , as well as related economic and supply chain pressures .
“ No one person , company , or industry segment was left unchanged by the pandemic , NAMM included ,” says Joe Lamond , NAMM president and CEO . “ In my opinion , the true end zone was being able to find the opportunity that these challenges created . Although there was no perfect solution , the new dates — April 2023 and the return of The Show as the first event of our musical year in January 2024 — will encourage every NAMM Member to partner with their association to build the new and improved NAMM Show , ensuring that the platform remains an essential element of their company ’ s success and through our circle of benefits model — a catalyst of industry growth .”

NWC Appoints Manus Hopkins as New Assistant Editor Jim Norris , president of NWC , has announced the appointment of Manus Hopkins as assistant editor . NWC is the publisher of Canadian Music Trade , Canadian Musician , Professional Sound , and Professional Lighting & Production magazines .
Hopkins is a graduate of Ryerson University ’ s journalism program , as well as a freelance writer with a particular focus on the arts , and an accomplished guitarist and audio engineer .
Hopkins will be working with Editor-In-Chief Michael Raine on editorial content for all four magazines and NWC ’ s online channels .
