Pat Steward
Pat Steward , drummer for Bryan Adams and Odds , has added Los Cabos drumsticks to his portfolio of endorsed brands , which already included Sonor drums and Sabian cymbals .
Based in Vancouver , Steward currently drums for Bryan Adams , one of the best-selling music artists of all time . Steward was behind the kit for the worldwide classic hit “ Summer of ’ 69 ”, as well as the singles “ Kids Wanna Rock ” and “ One Night Love Affair ”, and on the Billboard number-one album Reckless .
He also plays with legendary Canadian power pop / rock band Odds , ( six-plus albums with the group ), the New Yank Yorkies , and Cobra Ramone . A keen student of the drums since high school and a graduate of the Malaspina College Jazz Music Program , Steward does several drum clinics yearly . Besides his current gigs , he has toured and / or recorded with Colin James , Jimmy Barnes , Matthew Good , Jann Arden , Ridley Bent , Barney Bentall , Steven Page , Wil , Limblifter , Whitehorse , and many others .
Producer Rafa Sardina is known around the world for his work with Stevie Wonder , Lady Gaga , Luis Miguel , Alejandro Sanz , D ’ Angelo , and many others , which has earned him a combined 18 Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards . Sardina has adapted his current tool set to align with how he works — particularly as he is often traveling or working alongside his staff on different dimensions of a given project . His most recent tools include Solid State Logic ’ s UF8 and UC1 controllers .
“ I am a big SSL fan and have been for ages ,” he says , noting the Duality console that serves as the cornerstone of his facility , Afterhours Studios . “ I have been working on SSLs since the very beginning , and along the way I became aware of the need for a controller — you really need an additional layer to control your workstation and workflow in the box .” When SSL announced its UF8 and UC1 controllers , Sardina picked up both of them : “ The UF8 and UC1 have been the most amazing friend and ally . The reality is that I travel a lot , and even when I am not traveling , I use a lot of satellite rooms . Even in here at Afterhours , I am using the UF8 and UC1 controllers to work on arrangements , rough mixes , and post-production .”

Nick Loporchio
While on tour and playing festivals , Nick Loporchio , bassist and founding member of reggae band Iya Terra , is using his Porter & Davies KT Platform . It emits sounds by kinetic transfer to enable musicians to feel and hear what they play internally even when the only other monitoring is in-ear monitoring . Other bass players who are using the KT Platform include Amos Heller ( Taylor Swift ), Bill Banwell ( Rag ’ n ’ Bone Man ), Brendon Grieve ( Sam Smith ), and Dave Swift ( Jools Holland ).
Loporchio purchased his TT6-equipped KT Concert Platform in 2021 . “ We played at Cali Vibes [ festival ] in Long Beach , CA … It was our first real festival back since the pandemic , and all of the other bass players were drooling about this thing ! Again , I can ’ t say enough great things about it !”
Isaac Delahaye is the guitarist with Epica , a popular Dutch symphonic metal band . Delahaye has been performing with and mixing demos for the band for the past 13 years , but it wasn ’ t until recently that he discovered the KRK V-Series 6 studio monitors , which he now relies on for all his home studio mixing needs .
The guitarist was first introduced to KRK while visiting Gibson ’ s showroom in the Netherlands . “ Compared to all the other brands ’ monitors I ’ ve used , the KRK V-Series is a very flat audio system , and the monitors don ’ t colour the audio at all . This is great , especially for the metal genre , since the speakers have such a complete low end that you can hear everything clearly ,” Delahaye says . “ Epica ’ s demos are recorded in my home studio with the V6s , while the actual mixing of albums is done in a studio . I ’ ve been using the monitors for a little over a year now . I used to always look for other options , but ever since I added KRK to my studio , the search is over . Plus , with the V6 being an active two-way speaker , it ’ s great for a small home studio like mine .”
